UCI Campus Representatives

    Note: Please read all of the following pages before filling out the application.

    Campus Representatives are student-staff affiliated with UCI's Office of Undergraduate Admissions. The role of the Campus Representative, or "Campus Rep," is multi-faceted, with many opportunities for students to serve their campus while developing personal skills and augmenting their academic growth. Students selected for the program are those who enjoy their college experience and wish to share it with campus visitors, particularly prospective students.

    Responsibilities of the Campus Representatives
    • Lead campus tours
    • Attend local college fairs
    • Give presentations about UCI and the University of California
    • Assist in outreach and yield events, such as Fall Preview Day and Celebrate UCI
    • Serve on panels discussing student life and the academic experience at UCI
    • Attend mandatory training sessions, weekly check-ins, and monthly meetings
    • Assist other UCI departments in hosting special campus visitors, guests, and events
    • Enthusiasm and school spirit for UCI
    • High level of commitment
    • Must maintain a minimum 2.4 GPA in order to apply, and must maintain a minimum 2.4 quarterly cumulative GPA throughout the duration of your employment; please note that the Office of Undergraduate Admissions reserves the right to complete grade checks
    • Maintain full-time registration status as a UCI student, and remain in good disciplinary standing
    • Attend all mandatory weekend training dates, specified in the application
    • Attend all training dates during Summer 2020 (July & August) and are MANDATORY in order to be a Campus Representative
    • Campus representatives must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
    • Campus Representatives walk backwards for the entire tour and must be comfortable speaking clearly and loudly while walking; please be realistic with your expectations of your ability to do so
    • Campus Representatives is open to students of all citizenship status
    • Campus Representatives are paid $12.00/hour, after completing training; the number of tours varies based on your school schedule, but a minimum of ten 90-minute tours is required per quarter
    • Work study is welcome, but not required

    Application & Interviews - Dates to Remember

    • May 7 | Application Deadline at 11:59 p.m.
    • May 10 - 14 | Interviews with First-Year Undergraduate Admissions Staff
    • May 28 | Selection Decisions Released Online
    • June 6 | Return Employee Documents to UCI Undergraduate Admissions (If Selected)
    • July & August | Campus Representative Training (Mandatory)
