Welcome to the UC Irvine Dance Department! We are excited to welcome you to our annual live dance audition for admittance in Fall 2024.

Date:         Saturday, January 20, 2024, OR Saturday, February 3, 2024 (must attend ONE date)

Schedule:  7:30 am to 5 pm (*You must present a photo ID at check-in.)

Registration will be held from 7:30 am - 8:30 am. Dancers must remain on campus for the duration of the entire audition, until approximately 5:00 pm, and participate in all portions of the audition.

Attire:        For all technique portions (Ballet, Modern/Contemporary, Jazz, Hip-Hop), all dancers shall wear fitted dance clothes so the entire body is easily visible, and shoes shall be appropriate for each genre. Hair shall not distract from the visible movement of the dancer nor impede their movement in any way. Please see examples below:

PLEASE NOTE: Dancers WILL NOT be given a break to change between techniques. Dancers may change their outfits if time permits; however, it is not necessary.
