A Day in the OC: Visit Orange Coast College & UC Irvine

    Experience a day in Orange County visiting Orange Coast College and the University of California, Irvine.  Spend time at both of our campuses to understand the unique programs that each school has to offer and the unique partnership between California Community Colleges and the University of California system.

    Tours will be offered on Tuesday, September 24 & Wednesday, September 25

    Tentative Itinerary:

    7:00 AM: Board a coach from the Los Angeles Convention Center

    8:30-11:30 AM: Arrival: either Orange Coast College or UC Irvine

    11:30 AM-12:00 PM: Transition to your subsequent campus

    12:00-3:00 PM: Arrival at alternate campus: either Orange Coast College or UC Irvine

    3:00-5:00 PM: Return to Los Angeles Convention Center

    Space is limited so complete the form to express your interest. Counselors will be notified ahead of the event if they are accepted for the tour and provided final details.

    Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnity Agreement
    Waiver: In return for being permitted to participate in the following activity or program (“The Activity”), including any associated use of the premises, facilities, staff, equipment, transportation, and services of the University, I, for myself, heirs, personal representatives, and assigns, do hereby release, waive, discharge, and promise not to sue The Regents of the University of California, its directors, officers, employees, and agents (“The University”), from liability from any and all claims, including the negligence of The University, resulting in personal injury (including death), accidents or illnesses, and property loss, in connection with my participation in the Activity and any use of University premises and facilities.

    Assumption of Risks:
    Participation in The Activity carries with it certain inherent risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken to avoid injury. The specific risks vary from one activity to another, but the risks range from 1) minor injuries such as scratches, bruises, and sprains, to 2) major injuries such as eye injury, joint or bone injuries, heart attacks, and concussions, to 3) catastrophic injuries such as paralysis and death.

    Indemnification and Hold Harmless: I also agree to indemnify and hold The University harmless from any and all claims, actions, suits, procedures, costs, expenses, damages and liabilities, including attorney’s fees, arising out of my involvement in The Activity, and to reimburse it for any such expenses incurred.

    Severability: I further agree that this Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnity Agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by law, and that if any portion is held invalid the remaining portions will continue to have full legal force and effect.

    Governing Law and Jurisdiction: This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, and any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the State of California.

    Acknowledgment of Understanding: I have read this Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnity Agreement, fully understand its terms, and understand that I am giving up substantial rights, including my right to sue. I confirm that I am signing the agreement freely and voluntarily, and intend my signature to be a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law.
    Notice, Consent & Media Release
    I, the participant, do hereby authorize THE REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA and its officers, employees, and designated agents (hereinafter, “The University”) to record motion pictures, photograph, video record, audio record, televise, Zoom record, duplicate and/or transfer my image or likeness to any present/future medium or technology for future use.
    Furthermore, I consent that any such visual or audio original or reproductions prepared or produced therefrom may be used by The University for any educational or reasonable UC business purpose, including but not limited to newsletters, brochures, websites, radio, television, or any other type of social media production or reproduction without the necessity of additional notice or any payment.
    I waive and release The University from any claim or liability relating to the use of my image, likeness, be it photographic, video graphic, audio, in original and duplicative form. I acknowledge by signing below that The University will rely on this notice, consent and release in producing, broadcasting, and distributing materials through various medium and my voice, likeness, photographic, video graphic, audio or oral statements and I do so knowing I will not receive money or any remuneration. My consideration for such consent, waiver and release is my voluntary participation in The University program.
    I further release and forever discharge The University from any and all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with the use of said photographs, motion pictures, videos, audio record, original or duplicate, including but not limited to any and all claims for invasion of privacy, defamation, infringement of copyright or payment of fees,
    By registering for this event I certify that I am an adult, 18 years of age or older, I have read and understand this Notice, Consent and Media Release. I knowingly and freely agree to these conditions, and upon my request I have been provided a copy (paper or electronic).
